Say Yes Do Nothing’s cover of ‘For What It’s Worth’

Say Yes Do Nothing (SYDN), A band whose lyrics deal with gritty personal experiences involving homelessness, alcoholism and abortion, have turned their attention to this Buffalo Springfield classic.

An ominous introduction from the President of America immediately paints the living dystopia outside our doors. When the band begin to play there is an engulfing wave of nostalgia, coupled with an inescapable feeling that nostalgia is what caused this mess in the first place.
The thread this cover pulls between 1967 and the present reinforces the knowledge that history keeps repeating itself, alongside a music video showing spliced together phone footage from protestors across the USA as a sign reading Black Lives Matter flutters in the wind.
