First off, a massive thank you to all of the bands who have been involved in our shows these last few months, it has been incredible! Not forgetting all of you who came out and moshed like champions! With December just beginning it seems only right to fill you all in on what we have in store…
Get down to The Queen’s Head in Brixton on Saturday the 14th for a night of pure indie-rock. Tube Strike will be headlining, if you haven’t seem them live yet expect a full landscape of sound driven by groovy riffs and emotive vocals, reminiscent of The Velvet Underground and The Strokes. Joining them we have ambient indie-rock from Blue Statue and psychedelic sounds from Close To The Sun. Unfortunately The Kiddiwinks have had to pull out but never fear, we have a surprise in store, keep your eyes on the event. To finish off the night, indie duo The Voltage will be treating us to their own unique style of live techno. All in all, not a night to miss.
Four days later, on the 18th, join us at The Amersham Arms in New Cross where old favourites of ours First Time Dead and The Dynamite Club blast our ears with some underground hardcore punk. The best way to describe the two bands would be to say that The Dynamite Club draw influence from classic rock heroes Black Sabbath and work it into old school punk with flair, while First Time Dead pound out hardcore thrash which yanks the audience into the air and refuses to put them down. Joining them are grungy teen-rockers Young Fatigue, brooding noise unit Heavy Mass Driver, and energetic rock’n’rollers Great People Lots Of Fun.
